NIO Scientists Visits 

• Dr. A.R. Tabrez, DG; Dr. Samina Kidwai, RO visited State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research (SKLEC), East China Normal University (ECNU), Shanghai, China from 1 – 7 December, 2011. 

• Mr. Noor Elahi, Director, Mr. Rauf Ahmad, Deputy Director Survey of Pakistan, Islamabad alongwith 2 Officers of Karachi Office visited NIO on 24th November, 2011 for establishment of Vertical Datum 

• A group of 65 students 3^rd year (Honors) alongwith five teachers, Department of Marine Microbiology, University of Karachi visited NIO on 14^th November 2011. 

• Commodore Muhammad Arshad, HPH, Pakistan Navy visited NIO on 27th October, 2011.  

• Minister Fisheries, Government of Balochistan along with Secretary Fisheries visited NIO dated 26th October, 2011. They discuss various matters about Pasni Fish Harbour with Dr. A.R. Tabrez, DG, NIO and Mr. S. Moazzam Ali. 

• Mr. Simon Newton, Director Asia from M/s. Energy & Power, Hong Kong along with Pakistani Consultant Mr. Naeem visited NIO on 21st October, 2011. 

• Mr. Samiullah Khan, President, Enviro Desal, Inc., visited NIO on 3rd October, 2011. 

• Director General, Balochistan Coastal Development Authority, Government of Balochistan visited NIO on 22nd September, 2011. 

• Minister Fisheries, Government of Balochistan along with Secretary Fisheries visited NIO dated 29th August, 2011. Briefing was given by Mr. S. Moazzam Ali, PSO to the Minister about the Pasni visit and the problem about the siltation in the harbour.  

• Engr. Allah Bux, Dy. Chief Engr. (Environment); Mr. Asif Sabir, Dy. Manager, National Engineering Corporation and Syed Feroz Shah, H. Advisor Technical, Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Board of Investment, GoP visited NIO on 28th July, 2011.
