During December 1-7, 2011, Dr Ali Rashid TABREZ (Acting Director General) and Dr. Samina KIDWAI (Research Officer) from the National Institute of Oceanography, Pakistan visited the State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research (SKLEC), East China Normal University (ECNU), and had a full discussion with Prof. Jing Zhang, Yunxuan Zhou, and colleagues from SKLEC on the collaborations between SKLEC/ECNU and NIO on the coastal and marine sciences. Pak-Dutch program examined the geology and geophysical aspects of Pakistan coastal and offshore areas; the Pak-German (PAKOMIN) program evaluated the characteristic oxygen minimum zones during pre and post monsoonal periods.
